My Child Package - comprehensive child and family health care

The My Child package is a comprehensive insurance program that provides financial support in case of unexpected contingencies, such as a hospital stay or serious illness of a child. With a single premium, all of the insured's children are covered - without medical evaluation.

Insurance coverage includes events occurring worldwide. The insurance is taken out by the parent or legal guardian of the child (aged 18-69). Coverage with respect to the child lasts until the child turns 18.

General information

Insurance coverage includes events occurring worldwide.
The following are covered under a single premium all children insured.
A parent/legal guardian of a child who is at least 18 years of age and under 69 years of age joins the insurance.
The insured as well as his children are not subject to medical evaluation.
Insurance coverage with respect to the insured continues until the last day of the policy year in which he or she reaches age 69.
Insurance coverage with respect to a child continues until the last day of the policy year in which the child turns 18.
All children of the insured who are under 18 years of age are covered (hospital stay: minimum age of child = completed 1 year of age).
When joining the insurance, the insured fills out a declaration with his or her data - children's data (first and last name) can be provided optionally.
The insurance contains certain limitations. For details of the exclusions of liability, please refer to the T&C Statement for My Child Package.

Why is it worth it?

In the event of injury or damage to a child, payment of a benefit of 1% of the sum for each 1% of damage - payment based on the Table of Damages for the mere fact of the event, without waiting for the completion of the treatment process.
In connection with the need for hospitalization of a child (who has reached the age of 1) - financial benefit for each day of hospitalization.
After a 10-day stay of a child in the hospital - access to outpatient services (doctor's visits, examinations, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan) out-of-pocket up to a limit of PLN 3,000.
Once a serious illness is diagnosed - benefit payment (up to PLN 38,000) and 30 consultations by specialist doctors within 12 months, without referral and without queues (availability within 3-5 days).
Access to AXA MEDI medical service including visits to specialists, tests (MRI, CT scan) and rehabilitation.
Access to AXA 24 care benefits that provide immediate assistance in difficult life situations - in Poland and abroad.

Insurance coverage My Child Package

The My Child package is available in four variants that differ in the amount of benefits and scope of additional services. Monthly premium: Variant 1 - PLN 30, Variant 2 - PLN 35, Variant 3 - PLN 45, Variant 4 - PLN 65.

Serious illness of a child

If a child develops a serious illness first diagnosed during the coverage period, the insurer pays a benefit. List of covered serious illnesses:

Malignant neoplasm with leukemias and lymphomas.
Kidney failure.
Liver failure.
Diabetes.
Muscular dystrophy.
Intracranial tumors.
Sleeper.
Sepsis.
Invasive pneumococcal disease (ichp).
Meningitis.
Encephalitis.
Heavy Burns.
Organ transplant.
Chronic viral hepatitis b or c.
Loss of hearing.
Vision loss.

Benefit amounts: PLN 30,000 (Option 1) /. PLN 33,000 (W2) / PLN 35,000 (W3) / PLN 38,000 (W4). Grace period: 3 months. After the benefit is paid, the child also receives access to 30 consultations by specialist doctors (to be used within 12 months, availability within 3-5 business days).

Injury or damage to a child as a result of an accident

Benefit payment in the amount of 1% of the total for each 1% of damage or injury, based on the Table of Damages - for the event itself, without waiting for the completion of treatment/rehabilitation. No grace period.

Stay of the child in the hospital

Benefit for each day of hospital stay of a child who has reached the age of 1 year. The benefit is provided if the stay lasted at least 1 day (NW) or 4 days (illness). Territorial coverage: all over the world.

Outpatient benefits after a hospital stay (Option 3 and 4)

After each hospital stay of at least 10 days, the child receives access to outpatient services: consultations by physicians (internist, surgeon, ophthalmologist, orthopedist, neurologist, diabetologist, cardiologist), laboratory tests, outpatient procedures (surgical, orthopedic, injections), and imaging tests (X-ray, MR, CT, ultrasound, ECG, spirometry) - up to the limit PLN 3,000 For each qualifying stay.

AXA 24 - care benefits

Benefits worth up to PLN 3,000 for assistance in difficult situations for the child, the insured and his family. Sum may be used multiple times, provided it applies to different events. Benefits available in all variants.

AXA MEDI - smooth healing process after NW (Option 4)

Available only under Option 4. Efficient treatment after an accident including visits to specialists, tests (MRI, CT scan, ultrasound) and rehabilitation. Limit: 20 benefits per accident.

AXA MEDI medical and care assistance scheme

Medical assistance: Consultations by surgeon, ophthalmologist, otolaryngologist, orthopedist, cardiologist, pulmonologist, neurologist, neurosurgeon, psychologist, rehabilitation physician; outpatient procedures; laboratory and radiological tests; ultrasound; CT scan; MRI; rehabilitation package.

Care assistance: Caregiver's stay in the hospital, pet care, transportation of a child to a facility, tutoring, delivery of medications and personal items, nursing care, rehabilitation equipment, child care, home care after hospitalization, transportation to/from a medical facility.

The benefit is available for injuries: broken or fractured bones, dislocation or sprain of a joint, spinal injury, head injury (concussion, skull bone fracture), injury to internal organs, eye injury.

AXA Benefit Discount Program

Policyholders get access to the AXA Benefit online platform, through which they can enjoy attractive discounts on partner products and services - more than 400 discount offers, discounts to 55%, codes to stationary and online stores, movie tickets, sports passes and much more. Most purchased benefits are available in real time via SMS or e-mail.

Premium and costs

The insurance also includes a death benefit for the insured (parent/guardian) - PLN 100 in all variants (grace period: 3 months).

How to buy My Child Package?

Pay the premium - coverage starts according to the policy.

Key exclusions of liability

Scheduled procedures, plastic surgery, preventive and prosthetic treatment - out of scope.
High-risk and high-performance sports - only after extension for an additional premium.
Incidents under the influence of alcohol/drugs and intentional acts - excluded.
Diseases or accidents that occurred prior to the start of insurance.

Frequently asked questions about My Child Package

Who can buy the My Child Package?

The policy can be purchased by a parent or legal guardian of a child aged 18-69. All children of the insured are automatically covered until they reach the age of 18. No medical evaluation is required - neither of the insured nor of the children.

Since when has security been in effect?

Coverage begins from the date indicated in the policy after the premium has been paid. Some benefits (serious illness, death of the insured) have a 3-month grace period. NW benefits and hospital stay after an accident - no grace period.

Does the package work worldwide?

Yes, coverage is provided for events occurring worldwide. Both hospital stay, injury and serious illness are covered regardless of the place of the event.

What are the differences between variants 1-4?

The variants differ in the amount of benefit totals and scope of services. Variants 3 and 4 additionally include outpatient benefits after a 10-day hospital stay (up to PLN 3,000). Variant 4 also includes AXA MEDI - full treatment after NW (visits, examinations, rehabilitation, up to 20 benefits).

What is AXA 24?

Care benefits of up to PLN 3,000 per occurrence - rehabilitation, rehabilitation equipment, tutoring, hospital bed for parent, psychological assistance, drug delivery, medical transportation, doctor visits, home care and more. Available in all variants.

How to make a claim?

Report the incident as soon as possible (by phone, online or email). Prepare your policy number, description of the event, medical documentation and invoices/bills. The insurer will confirm the report, and you will receive a decision and payment within the deadlines specified in the T&C.

How many children can be covered?

All of the insured's children under the age of 18 are automatically covered under a single premium. It is not necessary to declare each child by name - the children's data can be provided optionally in the declaration.
