A comprehensive insurance program that provides medical care worldwide in the event of a serious medical condition. The insurance includes a Second Medical Opinion, treatment abroad at top facilities and outpatient care in Poland in a network of more than 700 facilities.

Insurance coverage may be extended to a person who is under 65 years of age (in the case of coverage for a person who is under 18 years of age, the Policyholder is the Parent/Legal Guardian). Insurance coverage lasts until the age of 85 (excluding outpatient care in Poland, which lasts until the age of 65).

Insurance intended for persons who have a permanent residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland or have resided in the territory of the Republic of Poland for more than 183 days in the last 12 months.

Medicare without Borders - Best Doctors insurance coverage

The „Medicine Without Borders Package” program provides comprehensive protection for serious medical conditions, covering three main pillars: a Second Medical Opinion, medical care abroad and outpatient care in Poland:

  • Second Medical Opinion - Best Doctors, after collecting and analyzing medical records, selects an expert doctor. The expert prepares a report including: an opinion on the diagnosis, treatment recommendations and answers to the patient's questions. The insured receives a choice of 3 international medical facilities for treatment.
  • Medical Care Abroad - sum insured €2 million. Covers: hospital stay, surgery and post-operative care, diagnostic and laboratory tests, medical care, radiation and chemotherapy, interpreter services, hotel accommodation 3-4★ (a 2-bed room for the insured and an accompanying person), transportation from the place of residence to the airport/train station, air/rail ticket (economy class).
  • Hospital benefit abroad - EUR 100 per day, for a maximum of 60 days per serious medical condition. 50% amounts paid prior to departure for treatment.
  • Drug reimbursement in Poland - A limit of €50,000 for drug reimbursement in Poland.
  • Costs of repatriation of remains - Covering the cost of transporting the remains to the country in the event of death abroad.
  • Death benefit - PLN 100.

After collecting and analyzing medical records, Best Doctors selects an expert doctor who prepares a detailed report with an opinion on the diagnosis, treatment recommendations and answers to the patient's questions. The insured receives a choice of 3 international medical facilities where he or she can receive treatment.

Contribution and documents

The insurance premium is 151 zloty per month (From the policy anniversary after age 65). There is a 6-month grace period from the date of joining the insurance. A medical declaration is required before joining.

How to join the insurance

  • Contact a Polisarium advisor or call: 325 325 325.
  • An advisor will discuss coverage and answer questions about the Best Doctors program.
  • You will fill out the medical declaration required before joining the insurance.
  • You apply and pay the premium - the protection takes effect after a 6-month grace period.

Exclusions and limitations of protection

  • Grace period of 6 months - There is a 6-month grace period calculated from the date of insurance enrollment.
  • Diseases existing prior to joining - medical conditions diagnosed, diagnosed, treated, or whose symptoms are medically documented within 10 years prior to the date you join the policy.
  • Lack of residence in the territory of the Republic of Poland - Exclusion of costs if the insured does not meet the criteria for residency (permanent residence in the Republic of Poland or residence of more than 183 days) at the time of diagnosis of a serious medical condition.
  • Outpatient care after age 65 - Outpatient care in Poland is only available until the age of 65.
