ERGO Health is a health insurance package offered by Sopockie Towarzystwo Ubezpieczeń ERGO Hestia S.A.. It provides access to more than 3,300 medical facilities nationwide, unlimited visits to specialists, a full range of diagnostic and laboratory tests, as well as advanced diagnostics and treatment abroad for cancer and serious diseases.

The insurance consists of four modules: Clinic, Prevention, Global Doctors Plus - Diagnostics and Global Doctors Plus - Treatment abroad. There are three options available that differ in the level of deductible.

Insurance Clinic

The Clinic module provides full access to outpatient medical care in a network of more than 3,300 facilities. Inpatient visits and e-consultations, examinations with referral, rehabilitation. The scope of benefits is identical in all variants - they differ only in the amount of co-payments.

  • Consultation of an internal medicine doctor and pediatrician - appointment within 24 hours (also e-consultation)
  • Unlimited visits to specialists: cardiologist, neurologist, orthopedist, ophthalmologist, dermatologist, endocrinologist, urologist and more than 30 others
  • Professorial consultation - doctors with a professorship or habilitation degree
  • Psychiatric and psychological consultations - 4 visits per year
  • Laboratory tests - more than 200 types (biochemistry, hematology, hormones, immunology, serology)
  • Imaging tests - X-ray, ultrasound, cardiac echo, ECG, spirometry, audiometry and others
  • Outpatient procedures - injections, dressings, removal of sutures, cryotherapy, biopsy and others
  • Rehabilitation - 10 units per year (45-60 min. with a physiotherapist: manual therapy + exercises)
  • Renew e-prescriptions without a doctor's visit

Every adult with Clinic insurance also gets access to the Prevention program - once a year they can perform a dedicated package of tests without a referral.

ERGO Health combines everyday medical care with coverage for serious illnesses. As part of the Clinic module, you will benefit from unlimited visits to specialists at one of 3,300+ facilities in Poland. If fate brings cancer, heart disease or the need for a transplant - Global Doctors Plus will arrange diagnosis in Poland and treatment at the best clinics in the world, with limits as high as EUR 2,000,000.

Insurance premium

The premium is determined individually for a 12-month period and depends on:

  • The insured's age,
  • of the selected variant (I, II or III),
  • Insurance coverage (Clinic, Global Doctors Plus),
  • frequency of payment (monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually).

Frequently asked questions about ERGO Health insurance

ERGO Health consists of four modules: Outpatient Clinic (outpatient medical care with more than 40 specialties), Prevention (annual examinations with a personalized report), Global Doctors Plus Diagnostics (fast-track diagnostics in Poland for suspected cancer and heart disease), and Global Doctors Plus Treatment Abroad (treatment at the world's best clinics with a €2 million limit).

All three options offer the same range of medical benefits. The difference lies in the amount of the deductible (surcharge). In Variant I, the surcharges are the highest (e.g., a visit to a specialist of PLN 155-234), in Variant II they are lower (PLN 104-156), and in Variant III - no surcharge (PLN 0 for each service).

Yes. A child can be covered by the Clinic from the age of 3 months until the day before his/her 18th birthday, provided the parent or legal guardian also has a policy̙. Coverage for the child continues until the child turns 25. In Global Doctors Plus, children are covered until their 25th birthday.

Waiting time depends on the specialty: internist and pediatrician - within 24 hours, specialist e-consultations - up to 3 working days, inpatient visits to specialists - from 5 to 7 working days. The facility will be offered within 40 km from your place of residence.

Global Doctors Plus is an advanced health insurance module covering 4 areas: oncology, cardiology, neurosurgery and transplantation. In the Diagnostics variant, it offers a rapid diagnostic pathway in Poland with virtual consultations and genetic testing. In the Treatment Abroad variant, it organizes and covers the cost of treatment in foreign clinics up to €2,000,000, including a second medical opinion, travel, accommodation and medications upon return.

Visits can be arranged in two ways: online through the ERGO Health application (account.ergozdrowie.pl) or by phone at the medical hotline. In variants I and II, the surcharge must be paid within 4 hours of receiving the payment link.

Yes. The Clinic module is entitled to 10 rehabilitation units per year. Each unit lasts 45-60 minutes and includes individual work with a physiotherapist: manual therapy, supervised exercises and home exercise instruction. A referral is required (valid for 30 days).

The insurance contract is concluded for a period of 12 months. The premium can be paid monthly, quarterly, semiannually or annually. At the end of the period, the insurer may offer to continue coverage for another year.
